I was first introduced to your music in 3rd grade via “The Wall”.. My stepfather brought it home and put it on the record player. I just sat and listened while staring and studying the album cover. I got my own copy for my birthday the next year. I shared this new found love of the band with my best friend, also Alan, and found that his older brother had quite a few Pink Floyd LP’s. We listened to those recordings on a daily basis but it wasn’t until I was 15, when my friend Michael and I ingested a few drops of some kind of chemical substance, that I became a true fan. “Animals” is and will always be my favorite Pink Floyd album and I listen to it at least once a week. Maybe it’s the Orwellian narrative, possibly the lyrics, but it’s most certainly the music that burrows into my brain and takes me on a subconscious journey through the universe. I want to thank you for that musical gift that I continue to cherish every time I hear your music. Thank you Roger, Nick, David & Rick.
