I’m a little younger than what’d be imagined as the average Pink Floyd fan but they have become so much to me. A few years ago as a birthday present my parents and I saw a cover band and after that I immediately became hooked to the Floyd. I listened to all of the albums, listening to every detail on every track, opening myself to a whole new world of music. I’d learn to play many songs on my guitar and I’m still revising and improving my style to this day. Pink Floyd brought me to an era of music that’s been buried as music changed and this is my buried treasure that I’ve found. I’ll never grow tired of listening to them and it will forever be a part of me. My favorite album of all time has to be Wish you Were Here with it’s haunting yet elegant opening, its brutalist, suppressive middle parts, and its reprise at the end wrapping it all up being the perfect album to me. I’m thankful to my parents for introducing this all to me and just as much the band who made these lasting tunes.
