You were always around growing up. Playing in the car, the garage and even in my head. My dad passed when I was 15 and playing Pink Floyd has always been like a blanket for me. Comfort. Imagining my dad at some of the very first concerts brings me joy. Being a fan to Pink Floyd isn’t just a hobby I like to pass time with. It’s family time, its laughs in the car, it’s being with my father again in a different way. I truly believe certain songs have played at times when I needed it most. Whether it was the night I heard the news of my father and it started playing on the speaker of the pizza place. Or giving birth to my daughter, my phone is on shuffle and it starts playing ‘Wish You Were Here’. It’s moments like those I know he’s with me. It could have been another band my dad was obsessed with but i’m thankful it was Pink Floyd. I wear old Pink Floyd shirts with pride and I play it loud on my truck speakers because I want everyone to hear. Thank you Pink Floyd from Dad and I.
