Growing up my dad loved music and raised me to love it just as much. When i was 7 I saw a Pink Floyd tribute and loved it so much I started listening to The Wall on loop and my father burned me a cd with his favorites.
About a decade later, i got to see Roger Waters in person. it truly changed my life, I think about that day all the time. i wish it could be frozen in time.
After my dad was diagnosed with stage four cancer i brought him your cds in the hospital and we both bonded through our love for the band even more than i ever got the chance to in the past. For Christmas we exchanged Pink floyd gifts, he helped me get cassette tapes, art books, EPs and cds, anything to grow our pink floyd collection together. i felt the closest with my dad when pink floyd was in the conversation. we truly connected over the music. thank you for sharing your music with us, and helping me bond with my dad before he was gone. It means everything.
