I listen to your music every day. You’re the main reason I started playing instruments. You inspired me to pick up bass and drums, and most of what I’ve learned has been from playing your songs. I still remember the first time I heard one of your tracks. I was sitting with my brother in his first car, wondering why there were three different parts to “Another Brick in the Wall.” After that I just kept listening, and before I knew it, I had collected every album.
Thank you for creating such beautiful music. I wish I could have heard all of you together live, but I’m grateful I still got to experience David at the Hollywood Bowl on Halloween night in 2024, and Nick at the Madison Center for the Arts in 2022. Those were some of the best concert experiences of my life.
Your music shaped who I am, and it continues to push me creatively every day. I hope one day I can make something that gives someone even a fraction of what your work has given me.
Thanks for everything,
