The date was April 16, 1994. My friend Nick had mentioned a few days prior that he had tickets to see Pink Floyd at the Rose Bowl that weekend. I had just turned 16 so while I obviously knew the name I really didn’t know anything about the group. I’m hanging out at my house when the phone rings. It’s Nick, one of his friend’s backed out and they have an extra ticket. Did I want to go?
What transpired over the next several hours absolutely blew my mind. The music, the visuals, the vibe. It was a transcendent experience. I spent the next few months discovering the music that would, in many ways, become the soundtrack of my life. I can’t put into words how much your music has meant to me these last 30 years. The memories of that night will be with me forever. So will countless experiences that would follow in the years to come, with your music a constant.

Shine on you crazy diamond”
