I first heard “Another Brick in the Wall” when I was 8, living in Hanau, Germany. My dad was in the U.S. Army. After hearing it for the first time, that’s all I would sing. My daddy went to his unit and asked someone to make a tape of the song for me. Someone actually recorded the entire album for me! I memorized nearly every song on that album. When I was 10, we were living in California and my daddy took me to the beach and boardwalk so I could enjoy a Pink Floyd laser light show.
While I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing you live in concert, I’ve carried your music in my soul for nearly 47 years. You will forever remain THE GREATEST BAND/ TALENT. Thank you for the music, thank you for sharing your talents, and thank you for saving me during some of my darkest days.
Forever your fan,
