Colton Janvrin

Pink Floyd has been a riveting influence in my life as a musician as well as an individual since youth. I’ll never forget my introduction to the band when I was 7 years old,. Riding in my dad’s pick-up truck here in North Central Texas, I picked up this pink cassette that was sitting in his cab, it was a pink one, which I thought was funny as a child would. Little did I know I was holding one of the most impactful albums in history.
“That’s a band called Pink Floyd,” my dad said to me.
That very same night we watched the Wall, which created an awareness of the education system at very young age. It led to a sort of disenchantment with government, religion, education, and brought more of a focus on the moment.
After I lost my dad on my 8th birthday, Pink Floyd carried me through many years of depression and inspired me as an artist to never be afraid to experiment with the unknown.
So much more to say but such little space. Thank you, Syd, Roger, Nick, Richard, & David <3
