Cristóbal Valderrama

Hello, I am Cristóbal from Chile, I live in “Santiago” my city. I am writing this letter because it is a very important part of who I am now and in my life, and for many others. I discovered them through a friend who listened to them when I was 13, a complex time. I didn’t know who I was or what the future held for me. I was having existential crises and depression, so I decided to listen to them. I listened to their most famous album, “The Dark Side of the Moon,” and everything changed with the song “The Great Gig in the Sky.” It helped me understand how human we are in the face of death and to appreciate my existence as a human being, not to fear death but to see it as another stage of life. Then I listened to “Time.” I remember crying. I think it was a good moment in my life to have heard it. I was young and I had to take advantage of every second of my life since time is precious, as many say. From that moment on, I decided to listen to the whole album, and boy, did it change me.
