I want to fly like a kite in the sky
To see everything and go everywhere
In this world in my head with invisible air.
Out upon a distant plain
Love’s in the air
And it starts to rain
Drops purple, red,
But mostly blue
They’re really teardrops
Cried for you
Watch me now I’m floating higher
And once green fields are set a fire
With the setting of the sun
Catch me now I’m on the run
A passing bird Pinkly sings
A favorite Floydian tune
Looking away I see it
And just barely miss the moon
And it’s the seventeenth day of June
But that dont really matter
If you eat you will get fatter
Now I’m climbing a silver ladder
It’s the stairway to the stars
Have you ever been to Mars
Do you believe in wars
Or getting drunk in bars
Or sleeping on cold floors
Or people slamming doors
Do you think my boat has lost its oars?
