I recall vividly how I scurried up the stairs with my dad’s old copy of Wish You Were Here on vinyl. That was the first time I sat with unwavering focus for more than 30 minutes.
The next day I headed out and bought The Dark Side of the Moon and listened to it 8 times on loop. I repeated this process for just about every other album Pink Floyd released between 1967 and 1979.
