I remember hearing ‘Wish You Here Here’ for the first time and got curious about the story behind it. Then I learned about the Crazy Diamond who shone like The Sun but it’s eclipsed by the moon. His story felt personal and he is someone whom I admire deeply.
Echoes felt like a call toward connectedness, Comfortably Numb felt like self-acceptance, Marooned felt like facing life with all the strength and courage I have, Hey You felt like meeting ownself at the road and asking for help, Time felt like growing old and being closer to death, Wot’s Uh the Deal felt like a being alive while drinking coffee, Brain Damage/Eclipse felt like despair from which nobody can escape, The scarecrow felt like embracing sadness and be cheerful despite it.
No matter how I’m feeling I always know a Pink Floyd song to listen to. I grew up listening to Pink Floyd and it’s my favorite band of all time.
