Dear Pink Floyd,
I grew up hearing your music through my father — for him, you were the band.
But I truly discovered you much later, already as an adult.
I’ve been painting for many years, yet at some point I stopped — for almost two years I couldn’t find the will or the feeling to create. And then one day I found your album Wish You Were Here.
That sound — that world — pulled me back into art.
Soon after, I traveled to the sea. I remember listening to Cluster One while watching the clouds drift above the water — and at that very moment, inspiration quietly returned to me.
My first painting after that break was an oil piece — The Division Bell cover on canvas. Since then, I often return to your music when I paint.
It always brings me back to something real, to emotion, to honesty.
Thank you for being a part of my story — and for reminding me what creation feels like.
With love and deep respect,
Ksenia Solyanik ????
