Thank you A latecomer (apart from the wall) started listening at 16 in 1988 Fell in love Drinking up your music with our ears cuddled up Meddle Echoes was our tune first We played it all Summer in Chelmsley Wood That was weirder still in 88 on a council estate Then when the Term started at Leeds it seemed so far In Autumn We played Wish you were here it broke our hearts But we loved it it became our place Our Anthem for life I painted 2 lost souls swimming in a fish bowl Every time I hear that crackly start it takes me right back but i still savour the little listening
