I have been listening to Pink Floyd since I was a kid because of my dad and his brother who admired you. They lived through the Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall eras and those 2 albums were the ones they played the most. Both of them were from El Salvador and emigrated to the US in the 80s. My dad told me how he got to see you live once in Los Angeles! Despite the language barrier, they were both such huge fans. Pink Floyd became one of the many bands I grew up listening to and still listen to to this day. My dad and my uncle were my biggest influence in the type of music I listen to to this day. Both of them passed away from cancer, my uncle in 2019 and my dad in 2023. But every time I play a song, while bittersweet, it brings me comfort and makes me feel close to both of them. Thank you for your music, it’s so timeless in opinion and helps me with my grief. My dad and my uncle were really close, I hope that they’re together again now and enjoying “the great gig in the sky.”
