Sharing the same birth year as “Wish You Were Here'” 1975 was a good year. In a world full of change one thing remains as a constant support in my life, the comfort and joy your creative work has brought to me.
From fascination as a boy with those marching hammers on MTV, to buying “Momentary Lapse” on tape as a 14 year old with my pocket money. This was just the start of my Floydian journey.
Seeing you live in 94′ (Earls Court), I was in awe and inspired in equal measure. Completing a degree in graphic design was largely inspired by the offerings of Pink Floyd, Hipgnosis, “Po” and the visual storms created by your old friend gave me the courage to be artistic.
Musically, lyrically and visually, you are a pioneering band which speaks to me like no other, as I get older the words have more gravitas than ever. A band that is more than the sum of its parts for which I am eternally grateful. You made pigs fly, so anything is possible!
