Matt Sthreshley

I remember vividly when Pink Floyd, furthermore, music in general became a passion of mine.
In March of 1994, on the way home from a friendly scrimmage night of bowling with my father, Pink Floyd’s new album and single, ‘High Hopes’ came on the the classic rock radio station., XL102.1 fm.
As soon as that church bell rang out in my father’s red Mazda pick-up truck, may soul awoke. I asked my father, “who is this?”, to which he replied…”PINK FLOYD!”.
From that moment, I not inly listened to music differently, I heard it differently. It all made sense to me. Like a euphoric and eureka moment wrapped into one.
I have since made my life surrounded by music, including studying the music of Pink Floyd.

My favorite track is tough to pick, as I am sure with so many others. But I always land up High Hopes with Echoes in a close 2nd, then Nobody Home, Fat Old Sun, even Biding My Time flash up. So many great songs to go with so many great memories.

Cheers,
