I turned 18 years old this year, I always hear older people say they got to see you live. I wish I could’ve been there, ever since I was 16 I became a huge fan. My mom and dad got me a record player for my 16th birthday with one of the first versions of the “The wall” vinyl records. I had music as a subject for the entire duration of highschool, and my last project was to write a arrangement. I wrote an arrangement of Shine on you crazy diamond part 1, for contrabass, cello, viola, violin, tenor sax and oboe. Your music has been with me everywhere. I use it in most of my instagram posts, also Dark side of the moon is the reason my boyfriend of almost 2 years and I started bonding. He only listened to “the great gig in the sky” and I decided to play him the entire album immediately. Thank goodness he also enjoyed it! When he finally asked me out, “Shine on you crazy diamond parts I-V” was playing. Thank you for the incredible music.
