I’m sure the band is important to so many people for a lot of people worldwide, and so it is for me.
My father and I bonded over many bands, but none more so than Pink Floyd. Great memories of late night sessions listening to the albums together and talking about music, books and life.
Now he isn’t here anymore, the music is still a portal through which I can feel him. When I hear Wish You Were Here, Interstellar Overdrive, Comfortably Numb and many, many others, I can feel him with me on the journey.
I can only thank the band for providing that link, both in my father’s life and after. It means so much.
