Your music, and what it represents, has been instrumental in shaping the man I am today at 33. I feel truly privileged to have grown up enveloped by your art, and the meaning I draw from it has only deepened and evolved over the years.
I believe Roger is one of, if not the, greatest songwriters of all time. I feel the same about David’s musicianship — he’s the reason I’ve made guitar a central part of my life and he’s my greatest inspiration. I’d be remiss not to also mention Rick (RIP) and Nick, who were both essential cogs in the Pink Floyd machine.
The band has always embodied the idea that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” I sincerely believe that the unity of those members is what allowed the music to reach and sustain its extraordinary power.
