Preston

As a child, one of the few things I never learned to enjoy was music. I simply never understood why people listening to it, and when I did listen, I would hide the fact in shame.

But after I got to college and finally started listening to music, that I had this roommate that kept trying to tell me to listen to older stuff. He was into the Dead, 8-minute long psychedelia, and of course, Pink Floyd. Eventually I gave in and listened to The Dark Side of the Moon at his behest, and suddenly it all made sense. The entire concept of music clicked for me, as if the record itself was trying to tell me something, and since then I can actually say that nothing has been the same.

It’s been a long time since this music you made first started having its impact felt around the world. I first experienced it on Spotify through remasters, not through the radio or vinyl or tape. But it truly did still change my life in a profound way.

And when I got a record player? Of course it was for Dark Side.
