Your music has meant so much to me growing up. I am named after my uncle who sadly passed before I was born in and RAF training accident. I don’t know too much about him, but I do know he loved Pink Floyd. That was the reason that I first started listening, to connect with him.
And in connecting with my Uncle, I found myself connecting with your music. From the powerful stories that you have told, demonstrating cycles and the fragility of mankind in The Wall, to the political messages and warnings to the world that we see in Dark Side of The Moon, to the more personal feel in the Division Bell; I have been enthrawled and captivated by your music since I discovered it, even going to see a tribute band last year.
At 20 years old (21 in a few days), discovering your music a few years ago gave me a greater understanding to what music is. Learning to listen out for all of the details, of the intricacies that your songs have, listening and appreciating good voices. I can only thank you.
