Pink Floyd has been the soundtrack to my life. I first discovered them during college, when their music opened up a world of sound and meaning I hadn’t known before. As I grew older, I dove deeper into their catalog finding new layers of emotion, reflection, and brilliance with every record. Gilmour’s guitar playing inspired me to pick up a guitar myself. I later took trips to London to see Gilmour play at the Royal Albert Hall (3X!), and later across the USA as I followed his tour. I saw Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets debut at The Roundhouse, followed them on two tours around the USA, and finally saw them play in four countries, with the last being “Echoes” in Pompeii. This was a full-circle moment for a lifelong fan. I also visited “Their Mortal Remains” four times. Whether driving alone at night, enduring hard or painful times, or traveling and sharing evenings with friends, Pink Floyd’s music has been my constant companion, a reflection of who I am and the journey I’ve taken.
