Sophie Fleming

coming back from a roadtrip out west, my boyfriend asked if he could play me all of “the wall” during our 16 hour stretch back home. I silently sat and listened while he explained to me every fact he knew about each song from the album and at the end, what the entire album meant to him. getting to hear about his appreciation for the story-like construction of the album was so fun for me. i went on to share the album with my friends and siblings, including all of the facts I knew, in hopes they would appreciate the complexity as well. what my boyfriend and I always say is that when you want to hear one song off the album, you have to listen to the entirety of it to appreciate that one song in full. takes longer but that really is the the fun of it. we also went to a David Gilmour concert a few years back in NYC and cried listening to “time” (naturally) in awe of hearing it live.
some pretty awesome memories right there !!
