I was visiting some friends from Italy at their home near Venice. They are big reggae fans, which I didn’t realize there was Italian reggae, but there is. We were at a holiday cookout… like someone might do for 4th of July in the States. I had long hair and they asked why — I told everyone it was because I wanted to look like David Gilmore in the 70s. We were listening to music and a song came on the speaker called Pin Floi… which is a reggae song that tells the story (in Italian) about a time where Pink Floyd held a big concert in Venice and all the fans that came were all spoiled and very disrespectful of Italian culture. . Everyone was singing this reggae song at the top of their lungs to me and calling me Mr Gilmore. It was hilarious.
