Pink Floyd has always been more than a band to us. It’s been a bridge between generations, a way for my closest loved ones to connect. As a kid, I remember my mother playing Animals and feeling the weight of Pigs even before I understood what it meant.
As I got older, Roger’s words started to hit deeper. The struggles in Time and The Wall began to feel like our own. My brother and I still find ourselves inspired by David’s almost otherworldly playing. When we pick up our guitars, it’s how we express something inexpressible — our own way of learning to fly.
Your music has become part of our family’s story. It’s something that binds us, comforts us, and makes us think. All we can hope for now is to keep sharing it and to see our children find the same inspiration we did.
