When I was a child, I loved listening to the Rolling Stones. They were my favorite band, mainly because my father also loved listening to them. In fact, I can say that my musical taste always came from him; it was through my father that I started to become interested in all the music I listen to today. One day, my uncle, my father’s brother, who was a big Pink Floyd fan, introduced me to the song “Wish You Were Here.” Shortly after, unfortunately, my uncle passed away from cancer. From that moment on, I started listening to Pink Floyd’s music more and more, their entire discographies. Over time, Pink Floyd ended up becoming my favorite band, even surpassing the Rolling Stones. Each of their songs carries a special meaning for me, and even today, whenever I listen to WYWH I remember my uncle.
Thank you Pink Floyd for everything
