My name is Mara, I’m a 16-year-old guitarist and artist from Germany, and this year my mother played “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” for me for the first time. I was absolutely mesmerized. I never would have thought I’d hear music like this after my sister and grandmother passed away and my father left us—music that understands me so well. Since then, I’ve listened to your music so often, and all these albums and songs evoke something in me that I’ve never felt with any other music before. Thank you for that. I will never stop listening to your music, especially when I need it, am alone or sad.
